The B6-02-0981 muffler for the BMW 600 carburetor is a faithful reproduction made of V2A stainless steel 1.4301 and ensures a durable, corrosion-resistant exhaust system. During restoration, it replaces the original mufflers, which are often rusted through, while maintaining the appearance and exhaust flow of the stock system. Due to the different material properties of stainless steel, mounts should be installed without tension, and appropriate sealing materials should be used to prevent cracking and leaks.
