The B6-01-001 crankcase for the BMW 600 forms the foundation of the engine and, with its bearing bushings, stud bolts, and integrated strainer plate with short-circuit valve, ensures proper support and lubrication of the crankshaft. During restoration, all sealing surfaces, threads, and bearing seats should be inspected and cleaned to prevent future bearing damage and oil leaks. This allows the BMW 600 engine to be rebuilt in a technically reliable and true-to-original manner.
