The 1st & 2nd gear sliding pawl wheel, Part No. 2-070, establishes the positive power connection between the shaft and the gears of the first and second gears in the BMW Isetta transmission. During a transmission restoration, worn or rounded-off claws should not be reused, as this can cause gears to pop out or be difficult to engage. A new sliding claw wheel ensures smooth shifting and significantly increases the operational reliability of the restored Isetta.
