The high-performance oil pump housing with part number 1-172 serves as a precision housing for the oil pump in the BMW Isetta engine and ensures the correct guidance of the pump impellers as well as the oil channels. During an engine restoration, a worn or damaged housing is replaced to restore oil pressure and flow rate to factory specifications and prevent consequential damage to bearings and sliding surfaces. The high-performance version is specifically designed for the corresponding original Isetta pump and ensures dimensional accuracy and sealing.
