The sealing screw for the accelerator pump (Part No. 1-1494) seals an opening in the pump or carburetor housing of the BMW Isetta engine to prevent fuel leakage, thereby enabling proper pressure build-up during acceleration. During a restoration, a worn or corroded screw must be replaced to prevent leaks and malfunctions of the accelerator pump.
