The surface is cleaned by glass bead blasting; however, blasting residue and channels must be carefully rinsed and inspected before restoration. Particularly with classic car carburetors, attention must be paid to flat sealing surfaces, intact threads, and clear bores to ensure a stable mixture and smooth engine operation.
