Die Zwischenwelle SH-063 mit einer Gesamtlänge von ca. 230 mm überträgt in der BMW Isetta Dreirad das Drehmoment im Bereich der Hinterachse und stellt die Verbindung zwischen den Antriebskomponenten her. Für eine fachgerechte Restauration sollte diese gebrauchte, ungeprüfte Welle auf Verschleiß an Lagerstellen und Verzahnungen sowie auf Rundlauf kontrolliert und gegebenenfalls instand gesetzt oder neu gelagert werden, um einen ruhigen und spielfreien Antriebsstrang sicherzustellen.
