Für eine fachgerechte Restauration sollten Lochabstand (20 mm), Gelenkspiel und die bekannte, ab Werk schwache Chromqualität sorgfältig geprüft und gegebenenfalls aufgearbeitet werden. Verschlissene Aufsteller beeinträchtigen sowohl die Dichtheit als auch die Bedienbarkeit der Seitenfenster.
