The 4-piece piston ring set 70.0 mm (Part No. 1-0504) provides the necessary compression in the BMW Isetta engine and ensures a clean seal between the piston and cylinder. During an engine overhaul or restoration, worn rings are replaced to eliminate oil consumption, smoke emission, and loss of power, and to safely dissipate the thermal load on the piston.
