The Mahle/Nüral/Kolbenschmidt piston with part number 1-0492 (Ø 68.44 mm, piston pin 20 mm) is designed as an oversize piston for reconditioned BMW Isetta engines. After the cylinder has been bored out, it enables the restoration of compression, power, and smooth running, provided that the cylinder dimensions, honing pattern, and piston rings are properly adjusted. For a sustainable restoration, all components of the piston-cylinder system should always be inspected and replaced together.
