The bearing bushing B7-02-071 (also B6-01-115) is used in the BMW 700 engine for the precise mounting and guidance of rotating components and protects the shaft and housing from excessive wear. During an engine restoration, the bushing should always be replaced or at least checked for dimensional accuracy and ovality and professionally pressed in to permanently minimize play and running noise.
