The original BMW Sport camshaft B7-02-0696 for the BMW 700 engine, with its modified valve timing and 7.0 mm cam lift, offers sportier power delivery; however, it is available here as a used part from old stock. As part of a restoration, the shaft should be carefully inspected for cam and bearing wear and should only be used in conjunction with a rebuilt valve train and correctly adjusted valve clearance to reliably achieve the desired sporty characteristics.
