The 14.6 mm intake valve guide (part number B7-02-0465) is used in the BMW 700 engine to precisely guide the valve stem and to dissipate heat from the intake valve to the cylinder head. During an engine overhaul, a worn-in or worn-out valve guide should always be replaced and, after press-fitting, re-ground to the correct valve clearance to permanently ensure compression, smooth running, and sealing of the historic engine.
