The B6-04-150 pressure lever for the rear left parking brake on the BMW 600 transmits the pulling force of the parking brake cable to the brake mechanism and converts it into a rotating actuation of the rear wheel brake. During restoration, particular attention should be paid to checking for wear at the bearing points, corrosion, and deformation, as these can significantly impair the parking brake’s effectiveness. Thanks to its electrogalvanized finish, the used lever is better protected against rust; nevertheless, it should be carefully cleaned before installation and mounted without any play.
