The front coil spring B6-04-038 for the BMW 600 supports the weight of the front axle and elastically absorbs road irregularities. Fatigued or broken springs alter the vehicle’s alignment and significantly impair steering precision and ride comfort. During a restoration, the front springs should always be inspected for signs of sagging and corrosion and, if in doubt, replaced with matching new parts to restore the original suspension setup.
