The bellows (Part No. B6-03-075, also B7-05-073) serves as a flexible protective and sealing sleeve for moving shift or actuator components in the BMW 600 transmission. During a restoration, an aged or cracked bellows should always be replaced to prevent dirt ingress and corrosion on the affected components.
