Die Antriebswelle B6-03-0246 ist ein neues, ohne Zentrierzapfen ausgeführtes Bauteil für das BMW 600 Getriebe, das eventuell auch im BMW 700 verwendet werden kann und das Drehmoment vom Getriebe zur Hinterachse überträgt. Bei der Restauration ist auf eine präzise Ausrichtung, saubere Passflächen und den gleichzeitigen Austausch von Lagern und Dichtungen zu achten, um Vibrationen und vorzeitigen Verschleiß zu vermeiden. So wird eine langlebige und originalgetreue Funktion des Antriebsstrangs im Oldtimer sichergestellt.
