The 2.5 mm compression ring, groove 2, with a 0.5 mm allowance (Part No. B6-01-0752) is designed for BMW 600 engines with a worn or reworked second ring groove. It compensates for the increased groove width and restores the combustion chamber seal, thereby significantly improving compression and running performance in restored engines. A prerequisite for long-term functionality is a properly machined ring groove as well as checking the groove clearance and ring end-to-end clearance.
