The 63/37.5 mm trim ring with a gold trim grille and part number 6-6984 is mounted on the exterior of the BMW Isetta body and serves as a decorative cover for small openings while allowing air to pass through. During restoration, it often replaces heavily corroded or deformed original grilles and restores the refined, detailed look of the 1950s and 1960s. To ensure a lasting clean appearance, the surface and mounting points should be prepared to be rust-free, and the component should be screwed in place without tension.
