Seal 4-011 seals the joint between the drive housing and the funnel on the BMW Isetta rear axle, thereby preventing oil loss at this critical transition point. During restoration, this seal should always be replaced, as aged material often leads to leaks. A flat, grease-free sealing surface and even tightening of the bolts are prerequisites for a permanently tight connection.
