The axle housing (Part No. 4-0013) forms the load-bearing housing element of the rear axle on the BMW Isetta and accommodates shafts, bearings, and seals. To ensure reliable operation in a restored vehicle, the bearing and sealing surfaces should be inspected, welded or bushed as necessary, and then reworked to ensure dimensional accuracy. This used, untested part is suitable as a starting point for a complete overhaul of the rear axle assembly.
