The upper steering knuckle bushing (Part No. 3-002) for the BMW Isetta front axle serves as a plain bearing between the steering knuckle and the bolt, ensuring a play-free yet smooth steering motion. During a restoration, worn or worn-out bushings should be systematically replaced, and the new bushings should be installed using the appropriate tool, with the bearing play carefully adjusted. This reduces steering play and noise and preserves the original suspension characteristics of the BMW Isetta.
