The Type 1 adjustment screw with part number 1-0821 allows for precise adjustment of the valve clearance in the rocker arm of the BMW Isetta engine and supplies lubricating oil to the pushrod mount via its oil hole. As part of an engine restoration, worn or corroded adjustment screws should always be replaced, and the oil holes should be checked for clear passage to prevent rattling noises and increased wear in the valve train. An exact valve clearance adjustment after reassembly is essential for smooth and long-lasting engine operation.
