The connecting rod bushing 1-0381 for 18 mm piston pins ensures low-wear sliding bearing support between the connecting rod and the piston pin in the BMW Isetta standard engine. During an engine overhaul, the bushing should always be checked for play and ovality and, if necessary, replaced and lapped to the correct internal dimension. This reliably prevents piston damage and noise in the restored engine.
