The 0.5 mm oversize rectangular ring (Part No. B7-02-0433) is designed as a piston ring for cylinders bored to oversize in the BMW 600 carburetor engine and ensures the necessary combustion chamber seal despite the increased bore diameter. When restoring an engine with cylinders bored to 0.5 mm oversize, the pistons and rings must always be selected in the appropriate oversize. This is the only way to restore the compression, oil consumption, and service life of the rebuilt engine to their original levels.
