The used BOSCH ignition coil B6-08-0050 (6V) with screw terminals is an original component for the BMW 600 that converts the vehicle electrical system voltage into the high voltage required for the ignition spark. Since the coil is delivered untested and as removed from the vehicle, a thorough electrical inspection (primary and secondary resistance, insulation condition) is essential prior to installation as part of a restoration. This allows one to determine whether the coil should be used as a fully functional replacement part or, if necessary, only for demonstration or decorative purposes in the restored vehicle.
