This rear left brake shoe (Part No. B6-04-1436) for the BMW 600 serves as a carrier for the brake lining and ensures proper guidance within the brake drum via its rectangular contact surfaces. For a sustainable restoration, the glass bead-blasted brake shoe should be inspected for cracks, warping, and worn contact points and then fitted with new linings. Careful preservation permanently protects the reconditioned part from further corrosion.
