The adapter piece B6-02-001951 for the intake manifold of the BW 403, 403c, and 425 engines in the BMW 600 compensates for different hole spacings (52/58 mm) between the carburetor and the manifold and enables a tight, reversible connection. In restoration work, it often replaces warped or corroded old parts and avoids the need to drill out original components. Careful installation with flat sealing surfaces and new gaskets is important to prevent air leaks and the resulting rough engine running.
