The Zenith 28 KL-9 flat-flow carburetor (Part No. B6-02-0019) handles fuel mixture preparation in the BMW 600 without a throttle pump and is therefore critical for engine operation and performance characteristics. For use in a restored vehicle, the used, untested carburetor should be completely overhauled, thoroughly cleaned, and fitted with new gaskets and, if necessary, shaft bushings. This reliably resolves typical age-related issues such as air leaks, rough idling, and poor throttle response.
