The used lower door hinge part (Part No. 6-0400) for the BMW Isetta is intended as an unrepaired base for rebuilding with oversized bolts and subsequent re-chroming. During restoration, worn bearing seats are repaired, reamed to oversize, and reassembled with matching bolts to eliminate play before the surface is re-chromed. This preserves the original material while permanently improving the function of the door hinge.
