The original black BMW fuel filler neck rubber 5-0853 for the BMW Isetta and BMW 600 also serves as a seal for the master cylinder in the floor panel and protects the interior from moisture and dirt. During restoration, old, brittle rubber should be removed, the metal grommet derusted, and the new rubber installed without tension. This restores the original seal and vibration isolation in the area of the fuel filler neck and brake cylinder.
