This rear wheel hub for the BMW Isetta rear axle (Part No. 4-0265) has been re-machined at the contact surface of the shaft seal ring to ensure a perfect seal once again. Worn sealing surfaces are a common problem, especially in classic car restorations, and can lead to oil leaks and greasy brakes. When combined with the appropriate oil seal 98-0530 (30 mm) or 98-054 (31 mm), the Isetta’s rear axle can be rebuilt to be permanently leak-free and functionally reliable.
